  • CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Restaurant Group – New Brunswick, NJ

    Chief Financial Officer wanted for a growing restaurant group.

    Position Summary:
    The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring the fiscal health of the organization. This individual will oversee all financial activities, including planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. The CFO will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth and operational efficiency of Munson Restaurant Group.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to assess growth opportunities, including acquisitions, new store openings, and brand expansion.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
    Financial Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives.
    • Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements and reports to stakeholders.
    Operational Oversight:
    • Develop and manage annual budgets for all restaurant locations and the corporate office.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Ensure effective financial controls and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    Team Leadership:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring long-term stability and success.
    • Oversee relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, lenders, and franchisors.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
    Skills and Competencies:
    • Proven track record of strategic financial management in a growth-oriented organization.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
    • Deep understanding of franchise operations and financial management.
    Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
    • Familiarity with restaurant industry KPIs, P&L management, and labor/food cost analysis.

  • PLANT FINANCE MANAGER – Manufacturing Plant – McPherson, KS

    Plant Finance Manager wanted for a manufacturing plant in McPherson, KS with a highly esteemed company. This is the most senior financial leader on site.

    Reports to Operations Finance Manager based out of state at HQ

    **RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE**

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 6+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Proven ability to drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives and effectively enlist other’s participation in change initiatives
    • Proficient in the development and use of performance-based metrics, scorecards, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to negotiate/collaborate with suppliers and other third parties
    • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing/plant-level accounting systems including payroll, APAY, inventory, general ledger etc.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of best practices for finance, manufacturing, and physical distribution
    • Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing and inventory management principles, certification, or formal training preferred
    • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems

    Responsibilities:

    • This role requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data, lead efforts to identify cost reduction and productivity recommendations, and partner with the plant leadership team to drive focus and ownership of cost and productivity efforts.
    • Identify appropriate performance-based metrics; drive ownership organizational discipline to monitor and proactively optimize financial performance – act as a partner to the plant manager to drive cost productivity initiatives.
    • Manages and develops a finance analyst
    • Accurate monthly closing and reporting of financial results to the plant manager, his staff, and division personnel.
    • Meaningful analysis of monthly operating results quantifying sources of variability, inflation, productivity unusual items etc.
    • Maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements
    • Monthly forecast and annual budgeting process
    • Financial evaluation of capital spending projects
    • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

  • Cost Accountant – Manufacturing/ Distribution Company – Wheeling, IL

    COST ACCOUNTANT wanted in Wheeling, IL for a large distribution company.

    The position will be remote to start and working periodically out of the office for inventory. Once cleared to go back to the office full-time after COVID, this position will be based out of the office.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years’ experience managing the numbers, input, analysis, and counting side of inventory in a Manufacturing/ Distributing environment (not as the person counting how many items are on shelves in a warehouse or in a retail setting)
    • Thorough understanding of MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables, and macros)
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience
    • Inventory experience within the manufacturing and distribution industry
    • Mathematical/business-minded
    • BS Accounting/Finance preferred
